Denise Hyde is the Dream Team Coordinator here at Living Hope. She is always ready to say yes to what God is doing. Seeing others grow in their hunger for God, fulfilling their purpose, building their character, growing in leadership, and making a difference is what makes her feel successful.

Denise met her love, Lynn, in bible college, and they have been married over 27 years. Her experiences as an elementary teacher and homeschooling her two beautiful daughters led her to be a homeschool leader in the community. She is a co-author, speaker, and an overcoming procrastinator that appreciates sincere words of affirmations. Psalm 37 and James 1 are her long-time favorite passages. A fun game, a good book or show, an inspiring adventure, an interesting font, a brainstorming session, and a place of peaceful beauty all can capture her attention.

Hurricane Harvey Relief

If you would like to give, donate here:

100% of your gift will go to help flood victims and 100% is tax deductible.

A note from Pastor Kevin:

Hurricane Harvey was quite a bit more than any of us ever expected.  Catastrophic, devastating and just unbelievable are some of the words that come to mind when I survey the damage that this storm has caused.  In the days to follow recovery will begin and families will begin the long process of putting their lives back together.

We were not certain whether our church would make it through the high waters that surrounded our property but by God’s grace we appear to have survived and stayed dry.  Many have asked what our church will do to help in the days to come for our community and it appears that God has opened up doors for us to become a command center for the relief efforts.  We plan to house out of town relief workers who are coming to donate their time and skills to help families rebuild their homes and their lives.  We will be providing food and shelter for emergency personnel, laborers and contractors.  We will also be serving as a drop off and distribution center for water, food, bedding, toiletries, and other necessary items related to the recovery.  All donations will be used specifically and exclusively for those effected by the storm.

Since Living Hope Church is in the center of many hard hit areas we will not have a shortage of people to help in our immediate vicinity.  We have been in contact with a few out of state organizations like Operation Compassion who will be partnering with us in this endeavor.  We look forward to being the hands of Christ in helping our neighbors and community become whole again.  In the days to come we will also know the best way for you to volunteer your time and talents to help if you so desire.

If you wish to make a donation to flood victims please use the “Donate Now” button above to make your donation.  100% of your gift will go to help flood victims and 100% is tax deductible.

God Bless,

Pastor Kevin Kleinhenz

Damascus Path: Grand Opening

We are so glad to announce the grand opening of our LHC Damascus Path!  It has been a long 16 months of work and sometimes weather delays that has brought us to this moment.  Most building projects do end up being more expensive and more difficult that what you originally anticipate and this project was no different.  Between the heavy rain of spring and the relentless heat of summer it was a very tough challenge to finish this path but to God be the glory it is done!  Thanks to all of my volunteers that helped with the walking path from beginning to end.  A special thanks to my “hall of fame” workers:  Skip Rome, Guy Vasquez, Roy Rogers, Jimmy Hart, and Jack Rogers.  Without these guys I for sure would have lost heart but they consistently showed up even in the worst of conditions.

Here are a few stats about the Damascus Path:

  • Pavers delivered to church: approx. 24,000 – Jan 2014

Raised to Life Weekend

Celebrate Your Life in Christ!

At Living Hope, we believe water baptism is a celebration of your decision to follow Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Just as the symbols of the wedding and wedding ring are a declaration of a marriage covenant, water baptism is the outward declaration of the covenant you’ve made with God. As your church, we would like to stand with you as you publicly declare you have made the decision to surrender your life to the Lord.

During Raised to Life Weekend, we’ll be baptizing everyone wanting to take this step of obedience to publicly profess his or her salvation. Many people will make a spontaneous decision to be baptized during the worship experience, and others will have already made the decision to be baptized that weekend. If you’ve already decided you’d like to get baptized during Raised To Life Weekend, please fill out the form below to help us ensure you’re appropriately communicated with going into the weekend.

Water Baptism takes place every last Sunday of the month. Be sure to sign up below!

Coming Soon: Damascus Path

LHC Damascus Path Construction- Fall 2014

Damascus Path Progress- August 2014

We at Living Hope are excited about the construction of our 1 mile Damascus Path! We named it “Damascus” path because Saul was converted on the road to Damascus. (Acts 9)  We wanted a name that represented “transformation” and “change”.

This walking path has been in the making for well over two years and completion is only a few months away!  This walking path follows the perimeter of LHC’s 26.4 acre campus.  It is being constructed with a crushed granite top which will make it a low impact walking and running surface that will be available to our community.

The path will serve primarily as a means for youth and adults to have a safe place to walk/run but also as a “prayer path” where individuals can pray and meditate as they read scripture cards along the path.  Part of our mission statement at LHC is helping families win in their health, this path will be one way we serve our community in this area.

Our current work days are Saturdays 7:00 – 11:00 am. Feel free to join us anytime and make this vision a reality!
