*Israel went to battle with:  Two Priests, A Prophet, An Ark, An Army and a “Shout” but they did not have the Lord.

*Our decisions do not affect God’s love for us!

Four things Israel did that caused God’s favor to turn away from them:

They had no regard for the Lord (A lack of reverence 2:12)

*Acts. 9:31 – NIV

*Reverence for the Lord is deep respect

Prov. 1:7 – KJV

They had contempt for the Lord’s offering (2:17)

There was immorality and a lack of discipline – (2:22, 3:13)

They refused to take responsibility for their sins (4:3)

*When we fail to look “inward” we will find ourselves trusting in the “outward”.
